I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at LensCrafters in Jul 2012
Interview
Recruited by another RM while visiting my local store, process was a bit lengthy due to current job at the time, they were patient and willing to work with my then very busy schedule, first 2 separate GM interviews were very similar with expected questions and based around answers to free style questions around past team development and successes.

Question 1
What skill set can you bring to the table that is different that most?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at LensCrafters in Dec 2010
Interview
All in all, not bad. Both in-store manager and regional director interviews went well.
The only negative aspect was the time it took. Two interviews spanned 2 months apart due to "scheduling conflicts" even though I was told the position needed to be filled ASAP at the time I was recruited.

Question 1
Why do you want to leave your current job?
While this question came across as another way to make sure the position was right for me, I later found out that I was viewed as a negative person for answering honestly. Honestly, if everything about my current position were positive I wouldn't be interviewing for a new job.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at LensCrafters in Jan 2011
Interview
Very fast process, one-on-one interview with store General Manager, then lab manager, then managing doctor, then panel interview with district manager and district managing doctor. First interview maybe an hour, more of a get-to-know you. Then very in depth interview with district managers, about 3 hours. All about motivating teams, your management style, coaching/development, interviewing/selecting, etc. Basic managing competencies.
