KPMG Manager interview questions

I had discussions with partners that I would work with, they were friendly and willing to hear about my previous work experience. They started the interview talking about themselves and how they understand that is important being an auditor working at the company.

I had 1st round of technical interview and the interviewer clearly told me that I cleared 1st round and processed me for next managerial round which he confirmed on the same day but nothing happens and next day when I followed up with HR they said the position has been closed. I was highly disappointed with the response.
