I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan
Interview
Two part interview. First part was the technical interview which was about fairly standard data structures questions. Second part was the behavioral interview where they asked me to talk about myself. The interviewers were really nice and welcoming and knowledgeable. The recruiters were also really helpful and engaging and made me feel valued
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Bengaluru) in Nov 2015
Interview
Pathetic experience, had worst interview of my life. 1st round was really good all about problem solving. Joke started after second round, he asked me to write immutable class, while writing, he asked whether i will have to create setter method or not, i said as member variables are final, it will be compilation error if you even try to create one(setter method for those). So started arguing and even said "Because I am saying it, it will not give compilation error, now tell me answer" he could could have politely said we will check or something else. Then in further rounds folks came they were asking syntactical questions. After clearing all rounds, I told my expectation to manager and HR, they did try to negotiate. Then HR said I will let you know in couple of days. When I called after a week they said manager went to vacation, then I called HR again he said "I went to vacation, and will let you know in couple of days" and that couple of days never came, I stopped following up with them. This was very unprofessional behavior from their part.
