The process took 4 days. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan in Nov 2011
Interview
I got a call for the 1:1 interview and was given few days for preparation.
The style of interview was really nice as it didn't contain the questions like : "tell me about the time of your life when..." Questions: straight forward, based on the cv and the skills they was looking for.
Both interviewers was really nice and give detailed description of the role, was open to answer the questions about the department.
Even though they didn't proceed with my application, they gave me a really nice feedback.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (City of London, England) in Oct 2010
Interview
There were two interviews, both competency based. One was an associate and read the questions from the sheet and took down notes. The second was a MD and he seemed would ask questions sometimes related to what he had to ask or sometimes random, such as : Would you invest in a Hedge Fund? I also heard some candidates were asked to do some quick arithmetic and were questioned on Black-Scholes. It was fairly relaxed.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Singapore) in Feb 2010
Interview
Was quite a long process for this role. Also asked quite a few technical questions. Had a phone interview after which had 2 1:1 interviews. Was mainly asked about current work experience, and management experience. Towards the end there were a number of quantitative questions including greeks (first and second order)
