Easy but lots of personable questions and behavioral type situations brought in to figure out how you think on your feet and in business situations. Not a bad interview overall.
one round with MD face to face in HK office.
Interview questions were mostly open ended and regarding past experience.
Since I did not have any bulge bracket names, I had a very slim shot at the role
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Mumbai) in Sep 2017
Interview
1. Test where i was asked to write code for reading data from file and saving it at java layer mostly they want to see how good you can code
2. 3 F2F Rounds , in all rounds they asked good questions found interviewers good .
3. HireView test , online coding test
4. HR Round : after all good experience above , its start of very poor candidate experience .
HR called and asked about my expectation and last working day , my LWD was about 50 days from now
After HR call i didnt get any update almost for 2 weeks , i sent reminder email but no response . I sent them reminder every week but nevet got response form their side .
When i was left with 15 days of notice some other HR called me and said its taking little while to take approvals dont worry we will release offer , i said we are left with 15 days and it looks bad to say NO to any company on last moment try to process as early as possible . He said we will process within a week .
Again same story started they didnt call or respond to any email ,
Got call from HR 2 days before my LWD saying that we will release offer dont worry , i clearly told him i dont need offer as its to late and i dont want to back out at last moment .
Most funny part is i got offer latter after joining new company , i didnt even look what they offered ,simply click on reject (they share offer on some weblink from there you can accept or reject it )
JPMC is brand name and i had respect from them but i think HR team needs to improve on communication .
From my overall experience what i think is JPMC thinks that candidate will join them even after joining at some other place only due their brand name and some extra money they pay .
