Extremely unprofessional. I appeared for interview at the Mississauga, Canada office. I had clearly explained to recruiter that I'm looking for a Managerial role, and not a coding/developer/engineer role. I was informed by recruiter that based on my profile, a senior role would be offered depending on interview performance & selection. I travel to their office, and the 1st thing I was asked if I can code. I said no, and walked out (after explaining that they need to align their recruitment teams with hiring teams. They have a group of recruiters operating from offshore, with no connect with hiring teams, and just shortlisting profiles, while the hiring team isn't even reviewing them. Time & money wasted.

System Engineer interview process usually begins with an online assessment that tests aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, pseudocode, and sometimes basic coding or technical questions. Candidates who clear the test are shortlisted for a technical and HR interview, which generally lasts around 20–30 minutes. In the interview, the interviewer often starts with self-introduction and questions about your education, projects, internship, and resume. Technical questions are usually asked from core IT subjects such as OOP concepts, DBMS, SQL, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, programming languages mentioned in the resume, and basic coding logic. Interviewers may also ask scenario-based or project-related questions to check understanding and communication.
