I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ideal Image (Brookfield, WI) in Jun 2021
Interview
The first interview was great and the interviewer did an amazing job at talking about the company. She made feel like everything they were looking for, i was doing in my current role so it felt perfect. At the end she set me up to do a Zoom interview with the current area manager and that interview was just BLAH. She didn’t really ask me anything and i felt like she didn’t even smile. Zoom interviews are already kindof “awkward” since we are t really with each other and the camera doesn’t always make you look your best either but we do the best we can in times like now. She told me she would contact me for a third interview but instead a week later (as i patiently waited) i got an email saying i didn’t get the position. Why tell me I would get a 3rd interview then? That was a couple months ago and i see this company STILL looking for an area manager. It’s okay that i wasn’t chosen but don’t lead someone on, just makes your company look bad.

Interview
Interview process was standard, 3 rounds of interviews which were very quick in a short time frame. I appreciated it was not drawn out over a long period of time. All happened within 1-2 weeks.

Interview
Horrible interview process. The interview process took 1-2 weeks. The interviewers seemed peeved when I started to ask questions about the job. The recruiter that reached out to me first didn't know the exact territories this position would be managing so it left a bad impression on me going into the first and second interview. I thought it was a bad sign that the hiring managers don't care about the important details of the job they are hiring for.
The second interview with the regional manager was more informed and I received more clarification about the position. However, it felt like the manager already had the verdict before the interview started. The interview lasted less than 15 minutes. The tone of the whole interview felt condescending to me. At the end of the interview, I asked "What do you expect the person in this role to accomplish in the next 90 days?" and the hiring manager started to chuckle and said that I should read this book with the same title before she answered my question.
