There was a technical issue from the interviewer side and I was asked to join via normal mobile call instead of HCL interview meeting link and interviewer asked 2 general questions and he said interview was completed. After that I got a review stating that I am not selected.
The overall interview process was fairly standard and moderately challenging. It consisted of 3 rounds:
1. HR Screening:
A brief call to discuss my background, notice period, and expected salary. Friendly and professional approach.
2. Technical Round:
Focused on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and basic SQL queries. I was also asked to solve a few coding problems and explain my past project architecture. The interviewer was knowledgeable and asked scenario-based questions.
3. Managerial Round:
Questions were centered around team collaboration, project ownership, challenges faced, and how I handled them. It was more of a discussion than a strict Q&A.
I applied online. I interviewed at HCLTech (Chennai) in Jul 2023
Interview
Your interviewers will likely start out with a question about you and your background to get to know you. Start by giving them an overview about your current position or activities then provide the most important and relevant highlights from your background that make you the most qualified for the role. If you’d like, it is generally acceptable to include some light personal details about things like your pets, hobbies or family. Doing so can help you be more memorable and personable to the interviewer.
