I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Great Clips (Saint Joseph, MO)
Interview
Went in for the 1st interview, ended up being with the owner's (married couple) for a short, to the point type, to get a feel of myself and of the owner's.
During this short time they asked about myself, why I think I would be the best fit for the management position, etc.
I then seen a wonderful side to the owner's when the salon was closing and they asked to stop for a moment so they could speak with an employee that had an injury they were inquiring about. The owner's asked her if she had been back to the Dr. and where sincerely concerned about her well being.. I was very impressed. Not to mention the whole time the husband was sincere, caring, and I could tell he appreciated the business just as much as his wife. That really impressed me.
My 2nd interview was just as sincere, informative, and impressive.
This company is GREAT all around. They look after their employees, they provide FREE education, and CARE...

Pleasant informative. Made me feel at home. Seen all the process to become a manager. Classes involved were very informative and beneficial. 4 day trip paid out of town for training.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Great Clips (Sterling Heights, MI) in Jan 2013
Interview
The interview began with a manager from another location. She seemed focused and friendly. She discussed numbers mostly and the expectations of the owners. I was called back for a second interview with the owners. The owners were not hairdressers and were from India with heavy accents. I was offered the position with a promise of a raise based on a 90 day performance review. I took the position not realizing that the interviewing manager was a micro managing general manager and the owners had no plans on giving me the raise after fulfilling the expectations in 60 days.
