I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Received an interview for an online coding challenge and completed all problems near optimally as they were ones that I’d done on hackerrank before.
Received a second email saying I was still under consideration and they would be in contact within 4 weeks after taking the initial interview. Tried emailing several times and wasn’t answered until the 4th email stating they were no longer interviewing for this position this year.
Terribly inefficient and no communication at all. Even if I did get offered a job from them, I wouldn’t take it after seeing how poorly they execute the interview stages. First impressions are important and their’s was abysmal.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One was on run-length encoding and the other was formatting dates that came in like Jan 1st, 1967 and outputting them in the format of 01-01-1967.
Not terribly difficult problems and nothing you wouldn’t run into with some coding practice.

Interview
I did not actually get to the interview process. However, their tests are very reasonable. Studying through HackersRank will definitely get you to the interview, so after I failed the test, I started to study HR.

Programming, Algorithm questions, software related
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (New York, NY)
Interview
3 rounds, behavioral, data structures/OOP and problem solving.
Behavioral asked typical questions and problem solving was incredibly easy. The OOP was a mess in part of the interviewer. He didn't know what GPS coordinates meant and 15 minutes later said he was expecting latitude and longitude. Not a good look for a senior engineer.
