I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Deliveroo (Shrewsbury, Inghilterra) in Sep 2016
Interview
Firstly I applied online through indeed, completed a few simple questions and then a few days later got an unexpected phone call that I missed as I was in college. I later got a phone call back when I was home from someone in HR who just explained what Deliveroo is and asked my age (17). It was not an interview, simply a confirmation of my trial shift. The next day I had to complete a background check which included uploading a scan of my passport and most recent bank statement for proof of location.
The trial started in the town square where I met the current riders who were all friendly and of course the manager too. I asked the guys questions about the job and then the manager asked what I knew about deliveroo - probably more to see if anything needed clarification rather than an interview styled question. I was surprised that no interview styled questions were asked at all, perhaps he was watching how I interacted with the other members of the team.
The trial was informal and light. As no orders had come through, the manager took me on a little taster ride around town which only lasted 10 minutes. When we got back, he explained that I've passed this stage and now all I need to do is confirm some emails that I expect to get within the next few days.
Tips: bring your phone, bring working lights and your type of bike does not matter. I live in a hilly town and I ride single speed - the manager did not mind and during the ride I actually overtook him!
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Deliveroo (Londra, Inghilterra)
Interview
No interview, but there is an online form to be completed. I am unable to start due to a waiting list. Overall the form is quick, and it is easy to fill in.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Deliveroo (Manchester, Inghilterra) in Apr 2021
Interview
Online application was quick and easy , however was told afterwards that there was a waiting list. They emailed every 2 days for updates on "bike road availability" however it looks to already be at overcapacity
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo (Bristol, Inghilterra) in Jan 2018
Interview
Bit rude and unprofessional. Overall the application process was short compared to other companies but it felt very clear that the whole interview section was formality, people unfriendly and unhelpful.
