I applied through other source. I interviewed at CompStak (New York, NY) in May 2015
Interview
it was a quick process - 3 rounds in person and over the phone. one with hiring manager in person then with the ceo part in person and part over the phone. interacted mostly with their in house recruiter.
nice guys all around, but by the time we got to offer stage i felt like i'd been mislead. and the offer i was given was not even realistic. really turned out to be a waste of my time unfortunately.

Question 1
what similar types of skills have you accrued at past jobs
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CompStak in Nov 2014
Interview
Phone call setup, basic interview questions covering experience and the recruiter described the company and the rest of the process going forward.
Sent followup information detailing more about the platform and what to expect/prepare for.
In-person interview:
-Ask about experience in sales (if any), impact at previous roles, ability to explain the Compstak platform.
Then, was made to pitch the platform to the sales director in a mock-up sales call. Nothing too difficult if you prepped enough.

Question 1
I'd say the most difficult thing actually is the mock sales call as they are expected you to be able to handle their rejections and set something up. All-in-all, nothing was too unexpected or difficult.
After submitting the online application, I was asked to complete an Excel task and submit a video self-introduction. They were pretty prompt with their communications. Within a day or two of submitting my completed task and the video, the informed me of the result. From first submitting the online application to the final communication, it took under 2 weeks.

Question 1
I didn't actually make it to a face to face interview. The Excel task was just generating three charts that could be used for a quarterly report and explaining why you chose to include those charts.
