I applied for a job and was then contacted by a recruiter who sent me links to a series of tests. There were around 7 in total, timed, lasting between 30-90 min. I thought this was a lot to ask, considering I had not spoken to anyone aside from the recruiter's e-mail or given much information about the actual role and salary, too find out if it's even something worth pursuing. I completed the assignments anyway as the company seems interesting. Most of them have nothing to do with copywriting- Some require looking at data etc - though there is no time in which to complete the assignments, I don't have a lot of free time so I rushed through them in a day. I was not contacted again about the tests- I expected a discussion but how I thought they went- especially as my personality test results came back with a very bizarre result.. Instead, I waited 2 weeks for a response and then received an e-mail saying that other applicants had performed better but without any real feedback. I now have a negative impression of the company - they ask candidates to spend hours on tests but the company itself invests no time. The tests should be no more than 60-90 minutes, without the candidate having the opportunity to find out if they even want to continue with the application.

First round of 5 tasks, second round of 3 tasks, third round a 90-minute problem-solving interview, would have been one more task and interview. Lots of logic and maths problems that had absolutely nothing to do with the job title, would never try for another job here as the process is so much work and takes so long.
