The worst hiring team, I have ever communicated with.
I had a 9-5 virtual onsite. I was scheduled for a session with the recruiter from 9-9:15, she showed up at 9:13, and rushed me through it. They never replied to any of my emails for days throughout the process. And the schedule they sent me changed twice. I had no idea who was going to interview me or what to expect.
I did mention I had other offers and would like to know about the results within 3 days to get back to others. But they never even replied to my follow up email until 10 days later.
The interview did go well, not sure what happened behind the scenes. If it wasn’t for the company’s name “Apple” I wouldn’t even have thought to proceed with such a recruiting team.
P.S. I got a really great offer from a great company. Blessing in disguise 🙌

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Apple (Bengaluru) in Aug 2020
Interview
WORST INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD. Had a call scheduled with 2 people from the team. They didn't even bother to introduce themselves. Asked me to introduce myself and asked few details about my different projects - Nothing technical, but didn't even let me finish my sentences. One person had a scowl on his face the entire time and a superior than thou attitude. Ended the call in the same unprofessional way it started, not even a customary HR will get back to you. Never heard anything back, would have rejected it myself even if I did. You really need to treat prospect employees better, definitely not a behavior I'd expected from FAANG company!
I applied online. I interviewed at Apple in Jul 2020
Interview
Had initial interview with recruiter, then had a manager interview with basic behavioral/data engineering questions. Then had a medium leetcode technical phone interview with a member of the team.
The interesting part was the manager really wanted me to interview in Java, but my preferred language was Python. During the tech interview, I asked if i could answer the question in Python, interviewer agreed and eventually answered the question.
After the interview, I emailed recruiter, thanked him, and never heard a word from him again. I only assume it was a decline.
I'm interviewing with other FAANG companies and Apple is by far the worst experience. I feel like they set you up for failure.
