The positive: I applied for the job online and got an email from a recruiter a few days later. She wanted me to answer some questions about relocation, expected compensation, and eligibility/sponsorship. After that she sent me an email about their phone screening process with the hiring manager and some interview tips. She told me to focus on 14 leadership principles. I spent an entire week preparing for the interview. I memorized their leadership principles and prepared 22 stories! I received a rejection email within 2 days of my phone interview. Recruiters were awesome
The negative: hiring manager was not interested at all. He was a few minutes late, asked me to talk briefly about my background then asked me 2 questions. He asked me 2 questions only!! He said that's all he had!! It was my turn so I asked him a few questions. He didn't ask me if I had any other questions before he concluded the interview. He proceeded to say it was nice speaking to you. I expected a one hour interview but I got 20 minutes only

I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in Sep 2020
Interview
applied online; phone interview setup one week later. the interviewer was 5 minutes late, no apology for being late, and noisy background I can hear the kids running around; not very good impression of this interviewer, who was new to this team and knew very little about this role and the team; nor did this person demonstrated the leadership or vision that I would expect to see; overall not a good experience;
1st Round Interview - Briefly talked about team and role + any questions; asked career background details + any questions; asked behavioral questions (2) + 1 scenario analysis. Prepared 4 hours for 2 days before hand and went through each Leadership principle and selected scenarios I could relate to them and worked back to combine. They appreciate brevity and being to the point. Was not an easy interview as they were the most well prepared organisation I have interviewed with but the manager was very respectful and gave you every opportunity to fulfill your responses needs.
