the interview process
It was very professional and good. They were a little late with the whole process but it was okay. timmings were a little off. Good company. Looking forwrad to it again
Very long and drawn out. Questions weren't what they told you to prepare for. Told you to prepare for a topic that would be 100% on it, but that topic didn't come up
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Hyderabad)
Interview
Entire process took 1 week. Amazon recruiter contacted me directly since my resume was there in their database and asked some pre screening questions from Design Patterns and scheduled all the rounds. There were total 6 rounds.
1) First round was hackerrank coding test+ write approach (2 problems, 90 minutes) followed by some survey. Questions were of medium difficulty from DFS, Greedy but problems were aligned to real life situations.
2) Second round was Problem Solving round (1 hour) where I was asked multiple leadership principle questions and 2 coding problems from binary tree,n array tree
3) Third round was kind of managerial round( 1 hour) where I was asked multiple leadership principles questions as well ask I had to design systems of all my previous projects
4) 4th round was low level System Design round,
5) 5th round was a high level system design + Problem Solving round
6) Last round was bar raiser round where I was asked High Level design + Interviewer went into death of concepts like scalability, availability, consistency in depth with questions from leadership principles, choosing NoSQL over SQL, Throughput, Throttling, Rate Limiting
Finally after 2 days HR contacted me that they are offering SDE 2 and shared letter of intent with salary breakdown. I got official offer letter after 3 days.
