I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Bolton, ON) in Jan 2021
Interview
One round of filling up some forms and pretty much answering basic questions on how well can you work in a 100% physical labour type job. If you make it, they call and let you know when you start. Since the staff turnover rate is too high, the interview previous is fairly simple and rather quick. Although it takes a while to get that final call may b 1-2 weeks.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They explain basics of job requirements like min to max weight you may have to lift, standing on your feet for long hours, using or willing to learn how to use certain equipment like forklift if need be etc.
No interview at all, you go into the hiring center, take your drug test, fill out some preliminary paperwork, verify the building and schedule you want, your start date and that's it.
Not too bad pretty easy and straightforward, simple question surrounding handling and moving. Make sure you know basic safety rules as they will ask you, for example how do you carry heavy items.
Apply online, go to the on-site office for oral drug swab and ID picture. Start date is assigned once background check comes back. The actual start date will depend on how fast the check comes back but isn't normally delayed.
