I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Arlington, VA) in Oct 2021
Interview
Overall was a very enjoyable interview process. Every recruiter/interviewer I talked to made sure I wasn’t confused about anything and had all the information I needed. Interviews were difficult but gave plenty of opportunity to exhibit my competence and personality. I was given an online assessment which consisted of two coding questions that lasted about 40 minutes each. Both LC medium level. After the assessment I was contacted a week or so later for a final round interview, which was scheduled two weeks later. Consisted of four rounds of hour long interviews which were partially behavioral, partially technical. Got an offer five days later.

Interview
Online Assessment is the first step in the process. I didn’t have an HR phone screening and went straight to the OA after applying. It was sent to me about a week after I submitted my application.

Question 1
The first question is LeetCode style algorithms question, and the second question gives a full stack repo (choice of Java, NodeJS, or Django) and asks to solve a backend issue which is causing a bug in the frontend. Unit tests must pass to pass the second question. You can run both backend/frontend indivdually or together
