Getting a job in IT/CS field is a luck and lottery. I am unemployed for 1 year where I am more than Eight years experienced here. Few days ago, I had a interview to Amazon AWS team. All answers were correct and I had confidence at least I will go to next round if there is. But they emailed me that other candidate is being pursued. Last year, I had few interview. But I have not got a offer yet. I am H1b visa holder but living outside of USA. I am thinking to switch profession since getting job is luck. I had better not to be an Engineer rather a farmer then I would not have any tension, no worry, simple life and simple everything.
Correct answering, work experiences in IT/CS industry is valueless. Amazon has increased frustration. If this is the scenario, then will suggest to the students, do not enroll at Computer Science Department. Electrical/Civil Engineering is much much better than Computer Science because, in that field experience has lot of respect and salary, profession is much more steady and stable. In CS, technology is being changed. CS is not a stable. Amazon suggested me to apply other position at their website but I think they should make lottery system to give the job. I do not understand how people are surviving in this Capitalism and why they are not destroying this dangerous system.
Good experience all around. Never ended up getting hired when I first interviewed. They were fair and let me know some reasons why they didn't. I was also younger and newer to interviewing for companies.
