I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Mar 2026
Interview
I felt the interviewer was quite biased. When he asked me about the biggest concern with AI coding tools, I answered from the perspective of their impact on engineers. He immediately redirected the conversation and asked, “Do you know what hallucination is?” Honestly, I almost laughed because it felt very dismissive and condescending.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The coding question was very difficult. The interviewer, who was Indian, gave me what was clearly a hard-level problem — Snakes and Ladders. To be honest, I knew it should be solved with BFS, but as an international student, I had never played this game before, so I spent quite a lot of time just understanding the rules and problem setup.
It was a 2-3 round process, depending on how your interview went, with increasingly hard DSA questions followed by some HR and behavioural questions. First round was mostly easy and medium leetcode, followed by medium and hard questions in the second round and above on more complex topics.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Bengaluru)
Interview
The interview process consisted of an online assessment followed by two technical interview rounds and one behavioral round. The technical rounds focused on Data Structures, Algorithms, Java, and problem-solving skills. The behavioral round covered Amazon Leadership Principles and past project experiences. The interviewers were professional and the process was well structured.
