Interview
A little bit about me, I have over 15 years of Customer Success experience and worked at top tech companies in the industry. AWS reached out via LinkedIn and I gave it a shot. To say the whole interview process was nothing short of disappointing is an understatement. First call was with the recruiter who didn’t know anything about the role nor helped prepare for an interview besides the canned emails I received about Amazon code believe, the STAR interview method, etc. second interview was with a hiring manager and one of his CSMS on the team. The hiring manager was dry like a desert and was on mute 90% of the time. The questions were very basic, such as “define a happy question “ “why AWS” etc. during the interview I knew this would not be the place I’d ever want to work for or to report to someone like that. Amazon claims to have a great culture but I can assure you it’s not what it seems like. I’ve interviewed many people and interviewed throughout my career and never ever had a bad experience like that. Their core believes are not much something to worry about. The hiring manager was salty and was offended that I would not bad mouth my current employer. I really thought this would be a better opportunity professionally but am happy to know it was not a good fit for neither of us. Their EGO is so big I’m not surprised they treat candidates with such disgrace
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2022
Interview
It was a 3 step process for me. I had 2 phone interviews and 1 virtual interview with 5 people separately. The interviews are all about 45 mins each and leave some time at the end for any questions. Everyone asks very situation based questions.
