ALSTOM Project Controller interview questions

I was sent by Randstad ( Temporary work agency) to have an interview for a contract position, therefore it was my second interview. At Alstom I was met by HR ( Conchi Lopez) and then introduced to two team leaders of Controlling departments. The interview was easy: just tell about yourself questions, no practical experience examples required, no tricky questions. At one time the Mrs. Lopez switched from Spanish into English to check my skills. I was also given a brief Excel test. The interview took about 45 minutes. The fact of me being a new mom raised their concerns. I also asked if I am expected to do unpaid overtime on a regular basis. This question was not well-liked by HR, but adressed propely by the team leaders, the answer being occasionally 2-3 hours, regulary 0,5-1 h.

Consultant screening and a telephonic interview was done by Alstom. Questions were more in general and specific was to identify the size of the projects handled and the history with previous competitors like ABB. Interview was done from Dubai as I was in Kuwait. Overall experience was pleasant and approach was professional.
