Interview went well.
Applied to the role on Indeed in late February, got an Indeed message from recruiter in early March (that I hadn’t answered because I was taking a break from my job search, having then been 11 months unemployed). Answered in mid-march, got a phone screen mid-to-late March. Then a phone call from the Director of Recruiting who took over the recruitment for the role, got me an interview with the team I’d be working with in late March. Heard two weeks later from the Dir of recruiting that the team wanted to do a 15-minute assessment (which was more like just a couple follow up questions, mostly from me). Got the phone call offering me the role the next day.
I think interviews really depend on a number of factors, so my experience may not be yours, and vice versa.
Factors:
- skills listed in resume
- skills needed for the role
- skills candidate is able to showcase and talk about in a phone screen / interview
- the financial desperation/peace of the candidate
- the urgency of the hiring manager
- among many others
