I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at ABB (Bengaluru) in May 2017
Interview
Resume shortlisting took nearly one month. After that written exam was held which has some complex c language questions and then 3 weeks later, Technical round was scheduled. But the technical interviewer was bit out of line and i got rejected.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ABB (Kuala Lumpur) in Mar 2017
Interview
I got this interview through a recruitment agency. First I had to do a simple online programming test. Then a remote, live, hands-on "logic" test with one of the team leads. Finally my interview was scheduled at 9am the next week.
The interview wasn't technical as I would expect. I was supposed to talk to members of the team but only one showed up. He was kind enough to answer my questions, talk to me about their work, a bit company history and current project. He seemed more manager type and not very technical.
They didn't come back to me after the interview, which I found unprofessional. When I asked the recruitment agent she said she'll check but she too didn't comeback to be with any meaningful feedback.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ABB (Sugar Land, TX) in Jul 2016
Interview
After a quick screen by an HR person, a phone interview was set up with the hiring manager and two team leaders. The questions were the usual review of my background, experience and so on. The HR guy got back to me in less than a week to set up a site interview. The onsite interview was something of a marathon - eight half-hour interviews in a row! I spoke with team leaders, a product owner and developers. Everyone was friendly, and quite open. It was possible to get a good feel for the team and the company culture from the interview. Questions covered my experience and background - no super hard technical questions.
